Dragons

Physical Appearance

  • Dragons have brightly colored scales covering them from head to tail, with a row of sharp spines leading from the top of their skull down to the tip of their tail.
  • Sharp claws which can cut through pretty much anything.
  • Bright eyes, which usually reflect the color of their scales.
  • Their wings are slightly transparent, but strong enough to hold their massive size through a small hurricane.

Magick

  • Firebreathing. Their fire can get hot enough to melt diamonds if they wanted to. They can breath fire in human form as well, but it usually ends with them drinking lots of water.

Growing up

  • Dragons hatch from a multi-colored egg that is hard enough to withstand any attempt at harming it. Boil it, crack at it with a hammer, throw it down a cliff, attempt to drown it; regardless, the dragon will eventually hatch.
  • Dragons are born small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and weigh probably about as much as a sack of potatoes. But they do not remain this small for long.
  • Around three weeks of age, they are already picking up the language of those around them, though they do not speak aloud, but mentally. And only to their ‘Master’. Though if you ask the dragon, it is of course he who owns the human.
  • At 2 months, they have finally settled on the ‘color’ for their scales, which is not so much a conscious decision as subconscious. Their eyes will revert to this color as well.
  • Within 6 months of hatching, they can no longer be lifted even with the strength of an elf and usually do not fit indoors. This is also when they will first morph into their human form.

Personality

  • Much like cats, dragons tend to rule the place and well, if you say otherwise you’ll find out just how fast it takes flame to melt flesh.
  • Dragons are very mature by the time they are morphed into human form and are often mysterious in their words.
  • Their human is pretty much their everything once they are bonded together, which happens as soon as the dragon hatches. If the dragon hatches alone, for whatever reason, it will bond with who it chooses, which usually ends up being the person who claims it and cares for it.
